Happy Valley

Happy Valley is a British drama series that stars Sarah Lancashire, Steve Pemberton, James Norton, Adam Long, and Joe Armstrong. It follows Yorkshire police sergeant Catherine Cawood who comes face to face with the man who destroyed her family. Kevin Weatherill pays a visit to Catherine Cawood at a West Yorkshire police station to report a crime. It involves holding his boss’ daughter for ransom and using the money to send his children to a private school. Happy Valley is a dark, funny, multi-layered thriller revolving around the personal and professional life of Catherine, a dedicated, experienced, hard-working copper. She is also a bereaved mother who looks after her orphaned grandchild.
